The undeveloped submarines were those U-boats for which no concepts, blueprints, or schematics were ever produced.  In most cases, the undeveloped classes were merely assigned a mission purpose before the idea being abandoned either after the mission was considered impractical, or a later submarine class incorporated the same design.
